I don’t know about you but when I am having an overwhelming day, like the kind of day where everything seems to be going wrong and you feel like your brain is about to pop and ooze out of your ears, I try to take a step back, stop what I’m doing to just reflect.
A lot of things happen while I reflect. I begin to assess where and when the day began to go south. I ask questions such as, “What did I do wrong?” and “How could I have prevented such an overwhelming day?” and “Did I bite more that I could chew?” I’m a thinker and a problem-solver. Sometimes I don’t have the answers or solutions and when I don’t, I just stop, drop, and roll! LOL.
I STOP what I’m doing, sit down and depending where I am, have a cup of coffee or go Instagram and look at pics that are inspiring. OR, I blog (just like now-trust me, I am having one of those days)!
Then I DROP every thing and just breathe. I begin to think about the many blessings in my life: my children, my job, my life, and the fact that there’s never a day we’re not without food. Even if it means its a spaghetti and sauce kind of night.
Finally, I ROLL my behind up and tackle whatever that’s causing me to be overwhelmed head first! Because life is tough and one should never give up! And besides, it helps me feel empowered when I do. Like I’m wonder woman or something like that. I’m also a fighter! When life throws me lemons, I don’t make lemonade! I throw them back! That’s right!
